We met while working together at a church in southern California. Before long, God's true plans were made clear: we were meant for more than just working together and we married in October of 2005. We love the fact that our roads converged after similar hardships and heartbreaks; and through our love for each other, God has restored much of what had been broken.
We are amazed at how God's strength is made evident in our weakness; that He can take two people with such different personalities and use them as a perfect balance. Our union has only grown and strengthened over the years, through the joys and trials of a full life lived together. Through it all, we are a team, making all decisions together, as one, for the good of our family, present as well as future. We have known since before we married that adoption was in our future and we have patiently waited for that time to come. We are ready for that next step in our path and can't wait to meet the newest member of our family!

CHRIS
Chris is the adventurer in our family and he's always on the lookout for the next great adventure for us all! Chris is a teacher at heart, but is currently serving in a full-time, non-deployable role with the Army. He is passionate about our country and is living that out through service.
Chris loves deeply and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is an amazing husband and an awesome dad! He has a great balance of play and discipline with the boys - they respect him and absolutely love to play with him (wrestling & superheros are current favorites). Chris takes the lead in our family and we are all blessed because of it!

ALISSA
Alissa is the calm, collected and sensible core of our family. Her stability, wisdom and grace always keep us grounded and balanced. She is blessed to stay home with our two boys after working the last four years in Human Resources.
At her core, Alissa is a dedicated wife and mommy. Her passions are at home, maintaining a healthy, vibrant home for Chris and her children. She's truly at home being home and loves nothing more than long family weekends with nothing to do but spend time together just living life.
